For the last couple of days, most of the message boards have been popping with the announcement of a 1/24th Ferrari 1958 TR. Up until now, the only one that has been available has been the expensive Model Factory Hiro kit. Even though it was very well detailed, the price alone has put it out of the hands of most modelers. This new kit is projected to be Y3000 with an alternative wheel set at Y2100 (for those that don't know how much a Yen is, it's $28.08 and $19.65 respectively). That will allow just about any modeler to get one, two, or even more. I definitely plan on getting at least one. Renaissance has already committed to making decals. I'm sure others like Studio27 will follow. Although it didn't win LeMans (the regular body won in 1958), one did win the 1958 12 Hours of Sebring. Below is a collection of test shot pics.
